Level 10 - first honor kill
Ha! My first honor kill running through The Barrens. Stupid level 18 warriors...

My first night
I decided to call it a night after finishing about half of Dun Morogh. One of the things I noticed right away was a complete overhaul of many of the mobs' graphics. Surprisingly, lag issues I once had are also improved. Also, mobs drop WAY fast it seems, and experience points are definitely coming faster than 4 years ago.
I'm using a bare minimum of AddOns, too. Everything is—as it always has been—Ace (link on the right side bar), with the exception of GroupCalendar.

Finally!
Deciding on the nuances of my hunter
It was already decided I would create a female dwarf hunter. I've played most of the classes, and in all honesty, didn't find myself enjoying any of them nearly as much as I did playing my hunter, Radd.
I'll have to wait until level 44 before I can get my wasp, but with the armor reduction, I think it would be a great pet for instancing and raiding. I've had a boar before, and loved it for both PvE and PvP application. Ravagers, once they became tamable, were always OP in my opinion and I have always wanted to try one on for size.
Mutable (which I have decided will be her name) will most likely be Marksman—I still loathe the EZMode that Beastmasters are. At first blush, the Talent trees are significantly different than when I last logged on, so there's quite a bit of research ahead in the days to come.
Speaking of changes, it looks like pets have gone through a complete overhaul. I will be definitely doing my research in that category, as well. As it always has been, Petopia is the finest resource for the discriminating hunter. Potential pets I am looking at are, in order:

Patching blows
Since the Blizzard Updater wanted to throw 1.4GB patch at me, clocking in at a whopping 4 hours or more, I decided to go Old School and do my patches in incremental steps.
Bad idea. I think I would be done, now, if I hadn't decided to prove the system wrong. It has been almost two and a half hours since I started my manual patching, and I have been watching the 2.4.3-3.0.1 patch progress bar for about 5 minutes now.

10:40PM - Now that I've finally finished the manual patch, I think I am going to rely on the Blizzard Updater to do the rest of my work. At slightly less than an hour, I should have enough time to log in, create my new character, send a whisper, then go to bed.
Here we go again!
World of Warcraft... the gift that keeps on taking. As my first semester winds down studying Graphic Design at DMACC, and with the one month winter break looming, one of my very first friends from when I started the game 4 years ago called. He was interested in whether or not I would be up for some casual play.
Since I'm still dutifully unemployed, the answer was easy—"No, I'm broke." But then the bastard sweetened the pot and offered to pay for my game card, as well as my Wrath of the Lich King expansion. I've never been a proud man, nor likely to refuse a freebie. So, here I am, downloading the patches, reading up on all the changes since I stopped playing back at 2.4.x, and wondering how I'm going to fare this time through.
I'll be returning to the server where I was semi-famous (raiding drunk, dancing nude, etc.) for most of my WoWLife: Akama, though from what I have heard through the grapevine it's not the same collection of fun-loving slackers. Not that I terribly care. I'm not going to announce my return in any grand fashion since most of the familiar faces long ago transferred off the server renown for lack of progression.
The guild will be comprised, I think, of the former officers from Legendary Hero who transferred off Akama many months ago (re-transferring? LULZ). The goal will be, well, undefined. Tentatively, it seems 10-20 man raids are the goal. That won't be of much concern for me, however. Raddyn will remain retired and I am rerolling a hunter from scratch.
A dwarf hunter.
A female dwarf hunter.
Which brings us to the reason for this blog. Off and on, I'm going to record what I like about the WoW since I last played, as well as what I don't. Hopefully, some funny screenshots can be harvested—as well as any other things I deem to be noteworthy.

Onlytwo three hours left... /sigh
