Here we go again!

World of Warcraft... the gift that keeps on taking. As my first semester winds down studying Graphic Design at DMACC, and with the one month winter break looming, one of my very first friends from when I started the game 4 years ago called. He was interested in whether or not I would be up for some casual play.

Since I'm still dutifully unemployed, the answer was easy—"No, I'm broke." But then the bastard sweetened the pot and offered to pay for my game card, as well as my Wrath of the Lich King expansion. I've never been a proud man, nor likely to refuse a freebie. So, here I am, downloading the patches, reading up on all the changes since I stopped playing back at 2.4.x, and wondering how I'm going to fare this time through.

I'll be returning to the server where I was semi-famous (raiding drunk, dancing nude, etc.) for most of my WoWLife: Akama, though from what I have heard through the grapevine it's not the same collection of fun-loving slackers. Not that I terribly care. I'm not going to announce my return in any grand fashion since most of the familiar faces long ago transferred off the server renown for lack of progression.

The guild will be comprised, I think, of the former officers from Legendary Hero who transferred off Akama many months ago (re-transferring? LULZ). The goal will be, well, undefined. Tentatively, it seems 10-20 man raids are the goal. That won't be of much concern for me, however. Raddyn will remain retired and I am rerolling a hunter from scratch.

A dwarf hunter.

A female dwarf hunter.

Which brings us to the reason for this blog. Off and on, I'm going to record what I like about the WoW since I last played, as well as what I don't. Hopefully, some funny screenshots can be harvested—as well as any other things I deem to be noteworthy.

Only two three hours left... /sigh
